Cross-chain calls may vary in duration based on the tools utilized and their background processes.
Response times for cross-chain routes involving both swapping and bridging are inherently longer than same-chain swaps due to additional tool queries.
The /quote endpoint, responsible for transaction requests and estimates, typically takes more time compared to the /advanced/routes endpoint.
Filtering tools can expedite requests, with a significant difference in response times (e.g., 2 seconds vs. 5 seconds).
To optimize response times, you can consider deactivating specific tools using optional parameters in the requests based on your criteria and routes desired. e.g Enso works well for tokens like sDAI, which have special handling, however, for standard ERC20 tokens like PEPE, there’s no special handling. In these cases, other exchanges also provide excellent results
Note: It is recommended to use "deny" parameter over "allow" to make sure the newest tools are added in the response.
